Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These terms apply to Puperino: Pomodoro Timer ("Puperino", "the app"), made by Martin Eriksson ("we", "us"), an independent developer based in the United Kingdom. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/…/stdeula). If the two conflict, Apple's EULA applies, except where these terms give you more rights.
1. The app
Puperino is a focus timer with a virtual dog companion. The core app (timer, dog, room, tasks, shop) is free. Optional Puperino Pro unlocks extras such as focus stats, the Home Screen widget, ambient sounds, better gifts, and Pro-only rooms, beds, outfits and dogs.
2. Puperino Pro: subscriptions and purchases
- Plans: Monthly and Yearly auto-renewing subscriptions, and a Lifetime one-time purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
- Free trial: where offered, eligible new subscribers to the Yearly plan get a free trial of the length shown in the app. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you'll be charged the Yearly price and the subscription will renew. Each Apple ID can use the trial once.
- Payment: charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling: go to iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Puperino. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds: Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
- Lifetime: a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro on your Apple ID for as long as the app is offered.
- Restoring: tap Restore purchases in the app to get Pro back on a new device.
- Price changes: if a subscription price changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.
3. Virtual items
Bones, gifts, treats, dogs, furniture, rooms and outfits are virtual items for use in the app only. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money and can't be transferred outside the app. Items you bought with bones stay yours if your Pro subscription ends.
4. Focus modes
Stay Mode and Free Roam are there to encourage focus. They can't stop you using your phone, and phone calls and emergency features always stay available. Don't rely on the app for anything safety-critical.
5. Acceptable use
Don't copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the app or its artwork, or use it in a way that breaks the law or Apple's rules.
6. Our content
The app, the Biscuit character, artwork and text belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. Sounds are used under their licences and credited in the app. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app under Apple's EULA.
7. Health disclaimer
Puperino helps you plan focus time. It isn't a medical device and doesn't diagnose or treat any condition.
8. Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop offering features. If we stop offering Pro features you've paid for, you'll keep access for the rest of any paid subscription period, or receive the refunds required by law. If we change these terms, we'll update the date above.
9. Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Puperino Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law, or your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you can bring claims in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, and if you live elsewhere you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
