Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This policy explains what information Puperino: Pomodoro Timer ("Puperino", "the app", "we") handles, why, and the choices you have. Puperino is made by Martin Eriksson, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller. Contact: martineriksson4141@gmail.com.
The short version: Puperino keeps your focus data on your device. We don't sell data, show ads or track you across apps. We use one outside service, RevenueCat, to handle Pro purchases.
1. Information stored only on your device
These stay on your iPhone and are never sent to us:
- Your dog's name, room decorations, outfits, bones, gifts and treats
- Focus sessions, tags, streaks and statistics
- Tasks and subtasks you create
- App settings (timer length, sounds, focus mode)
The Home Screen widget and Lock Screen countdown read a small summary of this (such as your streak and the time left) from shared storage on your device. If you use iCloud backup, Apple may include this data in your device backup under Apple's privacy policy. We can't access it.
2. Purchase information
When you start a free trial, subscribe or buy Lifetime, payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, email or payment details.
To confirm which plan you have and let you restore purchases, we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.). RevenueCat receives:
- Your purchase history for Puperino (product, price, date, renewal status)
- A random, anonymous app user ID created by the app
- Basic technical information needed to check purchases (for example app version, device type, and your App Store country)
We use this only to unlock Pro features, restore purchases, and understand overall numbers (for example how many people start a trial). RevenueCat processes it on our behalf. See RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
3. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules them on your device to tell you when a session or break ends. They aren't sent through our servers.
4. What we don't do
- We don't collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos, health data or browsing history.
- We don't use advertising, advertising IDs or tracking, and we don't sell or share personal data.
- We don't use your data to train AI models.
5. Legal basis (UK and EEA users)
- Contract: processing purchase information is needed to give you the Pro features you paid for.
- Legitimate interests: anonymous subscription statistics help us keep the app running and improve it.
6. How long we keep information
- On-device data: kept until you reset it in the app or delete the app.
- Purchase information at RevenueCat: kept as long as needed to provide and restore your purchases and to meet tax and accounting obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
- Delete your on-device data: in the app go to Settings → Reset everything, or delete the app.
- Delete your purchase information: email martineriksson4141@gmail.com with your Customer ID (shown in the app under Settings → About). We'll ask RevenueCat to delete it. This doesn't cancel a subscription; cancel that in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Under UK GDPR (and EU GDPR, or laws such as the CCPA where they apply) you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Email us and we'll reply within one month.
- You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or your local data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to help first.
8. Children
Puperino is a general-audience app and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Security
On-device data is protected by iOS security, including encryption when your iPhone is locked with a passcode. Purchase information travels to RevenueCat over encrypted HTTPS connections. We keep the data we handle to a minimum.
10. International transfers
RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
